City of Janesville Volunteer Appreciation Scheduled for April 26
The City of Janesville will celebrate National Volunteer Appreciation Week with a Volunteer Appreciation Event on Thursday, April 26 from 4 – 5 p.m. at the Central Fire Station (303 Milton Avenue).
The City will recognize the more than 600 volunteers who help the City function every day. City of Janesville volunteers serve in many important roles including committee members, “Friends” groups, poll workers, library volunteers, Senior Center and recreation program volunteers, police and fire department volunteers; neighborhood group members, and many more! These volunteers provide an invaluable contribution to the Janesville community by lending their time, talent and support to improve the City in countless ways.
All members of the Janesville community are invited to attend this event. A brief program will begin at 4:15 p.m. and volunteers will be invited to share their experiences in volunteering with the City of Janesville. Light refreshments will be served.
